The Fashion Show

We went to the Fashion show held by the Egyptian goverment and joined by the Turkish Company for Fashion named Y-London. It was held in Mu'tamaraat (confrence center) in Nasr City, Cairo. It wasn't so nice (for me) because they didn't show the Haute Couture Collection but only a few clothes for ready to wear (pret a Potre).

Me, together with Roiz, Rijal and Masao went at five and unfortunately, the exhibition weren't ready at all. It was so awful because they missed a lot of things such as lighting that weren't bright enough, or even the places has no point of interest to catch the visitor's eyes. I noticed only 5 or 6 that professional in displaying their collection.

Fashion is always changing in Egypt but the fashion show are rarely to held. They only make the fashion show for a limited person, especially for the very-very highclass people.

There are a lot of Fashion or life style magazine in Egypt or from other Arab League countries such as Dubai (Emirat) and Libanon. Almost 40 percent from them are moslem fashion magazine as we know that almost -but not all- women in middle east are veiled.

NU Games


Sbenarnya ni acara dah lama siyy, kira-kira smingguan yang lalu but karna banyak urusan so gak sempet di apdet. Acaranya diadakan oleh NU (namanya juga NU games) di Nadi Syabab, sbuah mini stadion di kawasan H-10. Dimulei dari acara pembukaan yang seruw banget coz ada pawai para peserta, pembacaan janji para pmain n wasit plus ada atlet yang bawa obor sgala, kuwren dech pokoknya :)

Acaranya sendiri diadakan slama 3 hari. Ada pertandingan sepak bola, volley ball, kasti dan catur. Para pesertanya dikelompokkan dari tiap-tiap angkatan mulei dari 2001 sampai 2005.

Puncaknya, pengumuman pemenang plus tasyakuran diadakan di Griya Jawa Tengah. Waaaa meriahnya euy!!! Dumulai abis Ashar, acara dibuka dengan pembacaan Barzanji. Dilanjutkan dengan hiburan-hiburan yang atraktif banget kayak baca puisi, pertunjukan rebana oleh angkatan 2005 (al-Mustawa) n diakhiri dengan Khatmul Qur’an. Paling seru…ya pengumuman pemenang, singkat ajha ya coz dah lupa, juara umumnya direbut oleh Paradise, kalo gak salah sih angkatan 2003-04.

Trakhir bangettttt acara makan-makan. Kebiasaan niyy kalo ada acara pasti makannya diakhir (yeee masih mending dikasih, hehehehe). Makan kita kali ini lontong sayur, lumayannn meski buat daku niyy yah terlalu pedass, hmmmppphh.

Friday With Mahshi

This weekend....so busy. Dari hari Kamis, 2 cewek mungil -Hala n Nada- putrinya Pak Bukhori nginep di rumah, kangen jugha ma mreka siyyy. Malemnya, ditemenin ama Hala Aku bikin mahshi pake daun kol (cabbage) coz dah lama ga makan mahshi. Asma -temen sekampus- yang biasanya sering bawa skarang mulei jarang-jarang, emang banyak tugas kul siyyy, maklum ooii :D

Sampe jam 3 Aku gulungin mahshi tu sorangan coz si Hala udah terkapar :) n skalian nylesein cucian yang numpuk slama 1 minggu. Paginya sih rencananya mo dateng ke acara IKMAS Cup coz Aku didaulat bwat jadi juri puisi (hiyyy mang bisa ya??) tapi akhirnya kita smuwa malah gak bisa bangunnn, so tireeed.


Niyy resep Mahshi yang a la Mae :

- 1/2 kg tomat diblender (ato praktisnya bisa diganti saus tomat Heinz)
- 3 ato 4 cup beras, direndam sampe lunak
- Daun buat mahshi (gethu ngomongnya ke tukang sayur di Mesir) ; daun ketumbar (coriander), paterseli n daun sabat (drill herbs). Smuwaa dipotong lembut
- Daun kol, dikukus ato direbus sampe layu (jangan kelamaan yehh)
- Bawang merah besar 2 biji
- Bawang putih 3 siung
- Lada, garam n gula secukupnya
- Bumbu mahshi instan (kalo pengen ajhaa)

* Bawang merah n putih dicincang n ditumis
Masukkan garam, lada, gula n tomat blender. masak hingga matang
* Campur beras, daun-daun dan bumbu mahshi instan.
Tuang adonan tomat kedalam beras, aduk.
Kalo sukha, tambahkan aja saus tomat
* Finishing : taruh satu sendok kecil adonan beras diatas daun kol, gulung. Ato taroh adonan kedalam terung, tomat, paprika (smuwa dah dibersihin isinya yupp)
*Susun mahshi didalam panci, beri samnah (butter) sedikit, tuangi kaldu lalu rebus dengan api kecil hinga matang.
Ready to serve.
